Use a 11x11 inches flat pot for this project. You can also use the oval shape flat pot, but the oval pot might give you or the viewers an illusion of the plant setting to look from front or back. But as for beginners, please avoid the oval pot for this project.

Fit a foam block into the center

Roll the Aspidistra leaf on the bottom side

use a 1 inch pin to keep the rolled shape in place

Put 3 Aspistra leafs in one corner of the block and 2 in the opposite end of the block. Start with the longest one first. The tip of the first aspirtra should stand at 50 degree in height.
